Private water supply survey

Your experience of private water supplies in Scotland

Researchers at the University of Stirling are investigating the water quality of Regulated (Type A) and Exempt (Type B) private water supplies in Scotland to understand whether water supply type (regulation status) is related to water quality, as well as other factors including population served and local authority.

This research is being supplemented with data on risk perception among users of private water supplies and how decisions around water use are made. This data is being collected through via this survey.

Water Survey

The survey will take up to 15 minutes to complete and will ask questions about the private water supply you have used, water treatment processes that you are aware of, your thoughts on the quality and safety of the water and how you make decisions around water use.

Anybody who completes the survey will be given the chance to enter a prize draw to win £25 supermarket vouchers.
