The Scottish Government has been investing in broadband infrastructure across Scotland through its Reaching 100% (R100) programme and are looking to gather public feedback on what they have achieved so far.
You can find out more about R100 at: gov.scot/digitalconnectivity.
To understand whether and how households and organisations have benefited from R100, the Scottish Government is undertaking an evaluation of the programme. As part of this, they are surveying households and organisations who:
- Are scheduled to receive broadband access via R100 but have not yet been connected
- Have been provided with broadband access via R100 and have taken up the connection
- Have been provided with broadband access via R100 but have not taken up the connection
The surveys are available online and can be accessed at R100 Survey
The deadline for all survey responses is currently 3 March 2025.
If you have any questions, please contact: R100Evaluation@stantec.com.
The surveys are only open to properties covered by the R100 programme. If a property is covered by the programme, the associated address will come up as an option when the property postcode is entered by the survey respondent.
A brief reminder of the history of R100 broadband program in the Alvah and Forglen area.
In 2016 a claim was made by the Scottish Government that all properties in the area would have Superfast broadband by 2021. Every year since then the completion date has slipped back. In Alvah the completion date is now shown as June 2028 i.e. 7 years later than first announced. Less than 50% of properties in the area are to be included in R100 rollout.
